About Me
Kerry began her career as a care assistant and worked her way through the ranks to become a clinical manger, deputy manager, manager and then an Operations Director. She has worked within Boldmere for the past 4 years and has been responsible for improving many services along the way. Her most last project was managing a 151 bedded home in the Staffordshire area to a high standard for four years. While there helped in the opening of a 12 bedded challenging behaviour service, giving greater support to clients with more complex dementia needs.
Kerry has opened a 12 bedded complex needs unit (Mere Green) within Boldmere, to ensure our standard of care can be carried throughout the care of our residents, we now no longer need to transfer residents on if there needs in regards to dementia become too complex.
Kerry’s experience lies in her knowledge and understanding in regards to both dementia and general nursing and she believes in working hand in hand with all parties involved within the care home industry, from clients and relatives to CQC. Kerry believes in full care plan audits and reviews and that good training is the core to excellent care. She is an in house trainer and holds many qualifications including her teaching certificate’s, Since being at Boldmere Kerry has completed her train the trainer in first aid and AED, therefore is able to train her staff to a high standard.
Kerry has a history of working to improvement schedules and enjoys the role of being both a nurse and an Operations Director, using two heads for one position. Excellent care is provided by the staff but has to be maintained and evidenced by management Kerry ensures management is supported and dead lines are met.
